Pinewood Derby & Derby Workshops
Workshops
Most workshops will be held 9-11AM, except on 2 dates where they will be in the afternoon after Scouting For Food. We will also have one evening workshop right before the derby. It is not necessary to attend all workshops, but have a look at the description and plan to attend the ones where you would like assistance.
- Saturday January 21st 9-11am - Cutting cars and sanding
- Saturday Janaury 28th 12-2pm - Cutting cars and sanding
- Saturday February 4th 12-2pm - Drilling holes, adding weights, painting
- Saturday February 11th 9-11am - Drilling holes, adding weights, painting
- Saturday February 18th 9-11am - Final touch ups.
- Thursday March 2nd 7-8:30pm - Final touch ups.
The Race
Saturday March 4th
TIME: 1PM — 4PM
CHECK-IN: 12PM — 1PM
SETUP: 10AM — 12PM
LOCATION: Notre Dame Parish Hall (2nd Building From Front)
All cars must be checked in (or in line) prior to 1pm in order to race. Once your car has finished check-in, you cannot touch it.
If your car needs to be repaired, do so before. This includes graphite touch-ups! Come early for adjustment help!
CONCESSIONS:
Snacks & drinks will be for sale. Please bring change (quarters & dollar bills) if you can, so we don't have to break big bills.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
We need volunteers to help set-up and breakdown, run snacks,and other duties. If you would like to volunteer, speak to Aaron or Jason.
